A little bit about us…

 

Established in 1999, Herb and Spice Catering began life as a deli in Hale before branching out into the catering space.

Over the last 25 years, we’ve done it all. From weddings to funerals, product launches to exhibitions, birthdays to engagements, we create bespoke menus for all kinds of events – some more unique than others!

 

We’re a bunch of food lovers so we know the importance of getting dishes right. We work closely with our customers, taking the time to understand your vision and bringing it to life with a personalised menu that reflects your tastes and the style of your event.

 

We always use the finest, freshest ingredients too (often locally-sourced) so you know each dish is made with care and delivers exceptional quality.

Meet the management team

Misia Oldfield

Event Co-ordinator and Director

Having worked at Herb and Spice for 18 years, Misia knows the catering industry inside out.

 

Her role involves overseeing the daily operations, liaising with clients and chefs to create bespoke menus, and managing all aspects of events, from running the food service to communicating with other vendors.

 

Misia thrives in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same (which is definitely needed at Herb and Spice!) and loves meeting new people to help deliver their perfect event.

Matt Marshall

Head Chef and Director

Matt has been at Herb and Spice since 2012 and brings a wealth of experience to the company, having spent 16 years working as a chef in the UK and across Europe.

 

As the Head Chef, Matt is an invaluable member of the team, leading the kitchen and developing new and innovative menus, as well as playing a key role in the daily operations of the business.

 

At Herb and Spice, Matt enjoys working with a group of like-minded food lovers who share his passion for creating delicious dishes.

Mike Jones

Head Chef

Drawing on 25 years of culinary experience, including stints at ski chalets and alpine hotels across Europe and North America, Mike now helps leads the kitchen as Head Chef at Herb and Spice.

 

His impressive background also includes catering for at prestigious sports venues such as Ascot and Chester racecourses, and various football stadiums.

 

In Mike’s four years at Herb and Spice, he has helped us go above and beyond for clients, delivering exceptional dining experiences that exceed expectations.
